No-Commission Baccarat
Punto Banco without the 5% commission: the banker pays even money, except a banker six which pays half.
How to play
No-commission baccarat deals from eight decks with the same natural, drawing and third-card rules as standard baccarat. Bet on Player, Banker or Tie and the cards decide the round.
- Player wins: pays 1:1
- Banker wins: pays 1:1 with no commission
- Exception: a Banker win with a total of exactly 6 pays only half of the stake
- Tie: pays 8:1, and Player and Banker bets are returned
The banker six
The commission is replaced by a penalty on one specific outcome: a Banker six. That hand pays 0.5:1 instead of 1:1, and it is the only case where a winning Banker bet does not pay in full. Over many shoes the penalty and the old 5% commission cost about the same.
