Red Dog
Two cards set the spread; the third pays by its width when it lands inside, a pair pays 11:1, outside loses.
How to play
Red Dog is played with a single deck. Two cards are dealt face up and the number of card values strictly between them is the spread. You may Raise, doubling your bet, or Stand without the extra stake.
A third card is then dealt. If it lands strictly between the two cards, you win by the width of the spread. If it lands outside them, or matches either end card, the hand loses. A pair is settled on the spot.
- Spread of 1 (adjacent values) pays 5:1
- Spread of 2 pays 4:1
- Spread of 3 pays 2:1
- Spread of 4 or more pays 1:1
- Outside the spread or matching an end card loses
- Consecutive opening cards (spread 0) push
- A pair: a matching third card pays 11:1, otherwise push
